Château de Beauregard Châteaux de la Loire – UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Beyond the antechamber and old kitchens on the ground floor, stairs head up to the south gallery (fine 16C-17C furniture) leading to the cabinet des Grelots, a charming mid-16C room by Scibec de Carpi. The portrait gallery retains fine old blue and white Delft tiling depicting an army on the march, and wood panelling (on the walls and ceiling dated 1624) painted by Pierre Mosnier, but the gallery’s most interesting feature is the collection of 327 historical portraits.   – Michelin Travel : TheGreenGuide
